GPS2CAN™
GPS2CAN™ provides GPS based Position, Time/Date and Velocity data for CAN networks according to SAE J1939 standard. Any GPS receiver can be connected to the GPS2CAN™ input, witch has an NMEA 0183 compatible output. GPS2CAN™ also has a built-in power supply output for direct supply of GPS receivers if necessary.
The availability of accurate Time/Date, GPS position and Velocity is a basic requirement in many applications (e.g. fleet management systems, vehicle tracking). In the modular FMS system of Inventure Automotive Electronics the GPS2CAN™ provides all the relevant GPS based information, however it can be useful also as a stand-alone application.
