CAN Measuring Technology
Inventure WeCAN™ provides you a thorough and cost efficient solution on CAN network for the measurement, testing and troubleshooting areas. We have developed several interface types that may be connected to different CAN physical layers. The devices may easily be fitted into common measurement applications (LabVIEW™, DIAdem™) and handle CAN database formats (CANalyzer™ DBC, J1939).
Hardware Interfaces
WeCANUSB™- 5VHS is a general CAN interface with USB access that can handle all frame types even on high bus load. Apart from regular frames (Data Frame, Remote Frame) the device detects other useful frames during troubleshooting, such as Error Frame and Invalid Frame.
Signal Converters
We have complex experience on CAN bus signal processing and signal transformation, also almost all signal format can be converted with one of our device. Besides transmission of sample analogous and digital signal on CAN bus, different devices can be controlled.
Fuel Control
Vehicle real fuel consumption can not easily been captured, consequently real expense may not be correct. The integrated system measuring the motor actual fuel consumption is the most important part of the efficient fuel management.

FMS Gateway

Beside fuel management Fleet management means not only fuel consumption control nowadays, but detecting other important information, as well. FMS Gateway provides standard data format for FMS systems.
Performance Testing
XL Meter™ Pro Gamma provides on site acceleration, distance and speed measurement of the vehicle. Acceleration evaluation makes immediate and objective comparison possible on different vehicle types and intervals. As intervals speed (0-100km/h) and distance (p.ex: quarter mile) can be chosen.
Vehicle Dynamics Measurement
Vehicle dynamics measurement means acceleration, deceleration and Yaw-rate measurement, can be followed with special evaluation algorithms, such as tram brake, retarder. The XL Meter™ was developed for quick, on the field evaluation, while VDSU supports long-term measurement with legal processes. The data upload and evaluation is supported by XL Vision™ software.
Brake System Qualification
Inventure XL Meter™ Pro device can quickly be put in operation. After measurement the device immediately evaluate vehicle brake capability (MFDD) according to current requirements (EU-ENSZ EGB R13.). XL Meter™ operates in the field, where roller brake tester can not be used.
Retarder Qualification
The importance of reliable retarder operation on trucks, coaches and ADR vehicles is well known. However, checking brake system correctly can hardly be managed with difficult measurement methods. As solution Inventure developed a method, where vehicle brake system can be qualified quickly, on the spot.
Crash Reconstruction
The deceleration efficiency of a braking system is very much affected by the measurement environment, that means the road conditions, the cleanliness of the road, the temperature of the tires and also the road surface, etc. and, of course, the general condition of the vehicle. In accident reconstruction, it is extremely important to investigate the decceleration capability of a vehicle.
Calibration of Measuring Devices
The usage of an accurate and reliable measuring instruments is necessary for the execution of measurements having legal effect. That is why Inventure Automotive Electronics distributes only calibrated XL Meter™ Pro instruments together with a certified calibration protocol. After being in use, every measuring instrument must be recalibrated within regular intervals by an approved metrology laboratory.

The relation with the Budapest University of Technology and Economics is exceptional among them since besides the research and development projects, year by year more than five departments with Inventure together invite students for laboratory projects and/or thesis works.

During the design and implementation of the individual systems we rely on the modularity of our platform systems.
