TAHO2CAN™
TAHO2CAN™ provides a digital CAN interface for analog tachographs. The TAHO2CAN™ measures the output impulses of an analog tachograph and calculates the digital values of vehicle speed and distance traveled, thus making SAE J1939 compliant speed and distance signals available e.g. for fleet management systems in vehicles, where CAN data are missing from the tachograph.
By using TAHO2CAN™ the eventual manipulation of the analog tachograph can be detected, and if the vehicle is equipped with a GPS2CAN™ unit, the tachograph calibration can be checked by comparing the total vehicle distance values.
